Trunk or Treat

Thursday, October 31, 2024 | 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Our annual Trunk or Treat features lots of treats, games, and a hayride! Church members and visitors alike are invited to join us for this fun event!

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Trunk or Treat?

Trunk or Treat is simple. Instead of kids going door-to-door to get candy, they walk through a parking lot and go trunk-to-trunk. The trunk of your car becomes your front porch, so decorate it with a kid-friendly theme.  We suggest that you wear a costume to go with your theme as well!

How do I start?

Decide on a fun theme that young children will enjoy. If you need help, see the suggestions below. Be creative (but please, nothing scary)! Be sure to bring enough individually-wrapped candy for 200 children.  Let us know that you’ll be doing a trunk by signing up at the Welcome Center!

When/where do I set up?

You are welcome to arrive for setup starting at 5:30 p.m. on October 31. Someone will be on site to direct you to your parking space in the lower parking lot by the gym entrance. Please be set up and ready to start receiving children by 6:30 p.m.

Will I have access to an electrical outlet?

Power is not available in the parking lot, so please plan to run “off the grid.” The parking lot will be well lit.

Can I plan a game with my trunk?

Sure! A small ring toss or bowling game would add to the fun; just keep it simple. Please remember that all children should receive candy at each station, regardless of how they did on the game.

Will there be prizes?

Yes! Prizes will be awarded to the top three decorated trunks!

What else do I need to do?

You are only responsible for your trunk, so bring a chair, a big smile and enjoy!

I can’t decorate a trunk this  year. Can I still volunteer?
