Prayer Requests

Dee Akers, father of Becky Bryant, was scheduled to go home from rehab with Becky’s sister and her husband on Thursday following a stroke. He isn’t doing as well as they had hoped. The doctors weren’t able to do the surgery to remove the clot, as it had been too long when he got to the hospital. He is a Christian. Please pray for Becky and her family. She will be going to Florida on November 9 for a few days to visit him.

June Johnson, friend of Kelly Bennett, has been on our prayer list for breast cancer. She now has multiple myeloma and started aggressive chemo and medication last week. After she completes this, she will go to a larger hospital and receive a stem cell transplant. This is the third time she has had cancer. She is saved and has strong faith. Please pray for her and her family.

Leah Long, recovering from surgery on the hematoma on her hip, which may be infected. She is waiting on MRI and CT results from the shoulder problem. She has a low grade fever, low blood and iron levels. Please pray for her and the doctors treating her many issues.

Gabriela Yustiz, daughter of MCA alum Leslee Easter Yustiz, in the CICU at CHOP. Recent tests revealed there is no pneumotosis; however, an Echo of her heart revealed two leaking valves. This could mean either she is in rejection or her heart is working harder than it should due to other issues such as fluid buildup. She is still having intermittent stomach pain, distended/swollen abdomen, and other GI symptoms. Please pray for no rejection and for everything to begin working as it should.
